Young girls getting hair removal
While having laser hair removal today my aesthetician mentioned that one of her clients is an ELEVEN year old girl who gets a Brazilian laser hair removal treatment. The girl is clearly uncomfortable (physically and mentally) but the mum brings her in and signs off on it. We get talking about appropriate beauty treatments for children. We kind of agreed that perhaps if the girl was a swimmer then a standard bikini wax (just what showed in a bikini not fully bare) might be appropriate if the child asked for it. I know my mum let me start shaving my legs at 11 as I was particularly hairy and she let me get my brows waxed maybe at 12 or 13.
Was anyone allowed to have/allows their child to have private hair removed? Why or why not? At what age would you deem it acceptable?
