Abuse?

My son is two years old and if you've ever had a two year old you know they can be a terror sometime lol. My son bites, throws and scratches me and everyone else when he gets mad and I deal with it by just giving time outs.... My husband has been grabbing his by his arm and throwing him up because he does this or doesn't listen . To me its terrible, I'd never do that. He'll also lightly throw him on his bed when he's in time out. Or pushing him away with his elbow cause he's "looking at things on his phone" :/ I'm starting to feel he is ten times and mean when I leave and maybe that's why my son has violent behavior? I'm about to leave him anyways for other reasons.... But anyways, do you consider any of that abuse or am I over reacting? Not trying to get back at him just trying to settle myself down
