First ovulation kit test, help?

So because I have such irregular cycles I didn't know when to start an ovulation test so I just thought I would order some and try. So this is the one I just did, I know it's not positive because it's not dark enough but does it mean I'm moving towards ovulating? Any help would be great I'm confused haha

I was told by my infertility doctors that since I have irregular cycles, that opks are pointless to do.

Yes,  the more you test, the more you will see the differences.  This one test does look pretty close to being positive so keep testing.
