When would you take your 2 year old to the hospital

On Friday around 3:45 my son started to get a fever. He had it all day yesterday and woke up today with one as well. I have been giving tylenol and motrin. They told me to come in if his temp reached 105 but it's been like 3 days. this is my sons first time being sick so I'm worried. When would you take your child in ?

104 and been treated with Tylenol and not coming down. 
I would try to make at least a telemedicine visit with the pediatrician though.

Call the pediatrician’s office. They usually have an call dr that will either answer or call right back. Just make sure you tell the dr all of they symptoms. I wouldn’t take my son unless his fever got too high or I thought he was dehydrated. At least not without consulting our pediatrician.

My girl got sick last summer with two different viruses. One ended up being Roseola and the other was undetermined. We went to the hospital both times. Had high fevers both times but the second time she was significantly worse in symptoms. Doctor at the hospital and the pediatrician both told me it's more important to pay attention to how they are acting than the temp unless it's 105. If babe is acting normal treat with Tylenol and motrin and if it's there longer than 3 or 4 days to call back. The first time she was sick with Roseola she had a 104 fever for multiple days but acted perfectly normal. Wouldn't have known she was sick at all. Second time she also had a fever of 104 for multiple days and was acting normal until day 3 when she started vomiting so much she was puking up bile from dehydration. That landed us in thr hospital overnight for fluids and monitoring since her inflammation levels were higher than normal. Thankfully she was okay but they couldn't tell me what was wrong with her
