Is the name Florian known in English?

If yes, how would you pronounce the name? Over here a common name, but my inlaws are British. Siblings are Olivia & Colin, so they all will have an O-L-I in the name. 
(At the same time James is a big runner up too, total different name lol)

I’m American and have heard of the name but don’t know anyone that has it. It seems fairly simple to pronounce as it’s phonetical “Floor-ee-en” like Dorian.

I’m german and it’s a common name in Germany. Not as popular anymore as it used to be but very well known. Never heard in an English speaking country though 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm from Canada and I have heard this name, but never actually in Canada, only in books and movies. The closest I've come to this name in Canada is a guy I knew at camp who was named Floren. 
I would pronounce it similarly to how I would pronounce "The Picture  of Dorian Gray". Hope that helps.

My dad’s mother had a cousin named Florian. Pretty sure he was from somewhere in Europe. He would have been almost 100 years old now. It’s not a name you hear very often here. It rhymes with Dorian.
