Absent father?

I’m 15 years old and gave birth to my BabyBoy 12 days ago. My boyfriend was in the hospital with me for only 3 hours. He missed the birth of our son. :(
He prefers to work instead of spending time with our son. When he does come to my house, he’s only there for about an hour  and spends the whole time on his phone. 
At this point, I don’t care if he spends time with me, as long as he’s spending time with our son.
Is it wrong for me feel upset at my boyfriend?

No he should be more active in your child’s life. While you both are young you both made the baby and both need to be just as active in the child’s life. It isn’t fair to you or your child for him to only show up for an hour and do nothing. I’m sorry you’re going through this, hopefully you can speak to him about this and how you feel. After that I hope he makes changes, if not it  may be time for you to move on and focus on being a mom to your child alone as best you can.

I know your pain my child’s father left me in the hospital while I was in labor to ride around with his friends! And I had a rough labor there was times when they couldn’t find my daughters heartbeat, I had to call my momma at 5 in the morning to tell her come up there because I didn’t want to have my child alone

Like someone else said, even in adults this is a common problem. My 30 year old husband left me and our daughter in the hospital for a few hours so he could work. He spent 2 days at home with us after and then immediately went back to work. at a few days old, there’s also not much that he can do with baby especially if your breastfeeding. It can also take men longer to bond. In his mind, he might feel like him working is the most important thing he can do right now as that’s how (I’m assuming) he’s going to provide for you and your son. my husband is a bit of a workaholic and I had to talk to him about it. After our discussion it became more clear to me that in his mind, being a father about providing more than being physically present. He’s there for the important things, like dinner and bed time, but if he can make extra money he’s going to do that. 
Definitely talk to him, but also give him some grace. It’s a huge adjustment and I’m sure it’s even harder being so young. Give him a chance, but also make sure he’s aware of your expectations and boundaries.

You have every right to be upset!! His phone is not as important as this human you both created. He didn’t ask to be here, you both brought him into the world. It’s his responsibility as much as yours to take care of that baby

So this is a common problem in adults too but you also have to think about I'm assuming your baby's dad is around the same age as you. It's hard to give up being a kid to be a parent I'm sure that you of all people understand that. Some people say some people don't this is something you need to sit down and talk to him about. Don't get heated don't get angry just tell him what you expect him to do for you and your child.

Also yes he should be around but your 15 so im assuming he is also a teenager so yeah if i had a shift id take it! Kids are bloody exspensive! Not to mention if he has to split his time with work school baby!  Thats a lot to juggle and you just had the baby. He needs a minute to figure out how to manage all this. I would give him a break. I know that sucks. Your 15 you also need the support but dont start parenting fighting that wont help
