Is sickness a good sign your pregnancy is going well?

Question

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and unfortunately the sickness has yet again kicked in. 
Could this be a good sign everything is ok? 
With my first pregnancy the dr told me sickness is a good sign that your hormones are strong. Not sure if that's actually true or the dr was saying that to make me feel better?

I’ll be the odd one out here I guess haha my OB has told me with all 3 pregnancies that sickness does tend to be a good indication things are going well. That doesn’t mean that if you don’t have sickness, things aren’t. But she said she is more concerned when a woman says she hasn’t had any sickness than when she says she’s been sick. I have had four pregnancies. With My 3 successful ones, I was diagnosed with HG and was horribly sick. Never even had a bout of nausea with the one I miscarried. So yes it’s different for everyone and just bc you don’t have sickness, doesn’t indicate something wrong. But typically, there is a positive correlation between sickness and hormones rising.

I think that's something we told to make us feel better about being miserable. It's a reaction to the HCG, but this can still go wrong and have HCG rise (like ectopic pregnancies). But if you're doctor says everything looks good, then trust them

My ob told me that morning sickness is a good sign that your pregnancy is going good. I had a miscarriage last year so when he asked about my morning sickness and I told him I'm nauseous all the time he thats a good thing and that I want to feel that way. Now not all women get morning sickness but when I have it I just think about what my ob said and remind my self it's a good thing even if it makes me feel like shit

I had bad sickness my entire pregnancy with my first but I’m 29 weeks with my second and haven’t had any sickness so far

It isnt just morning sickness its any symptoms. If you have absolutely no symptoms then that could be an issue but just because you puke doesnt mean your having the baby!  I havent puked a single time with this pregnancy and im 17 weeks!  But i have had heart burn and leg cramps and exhausted. My mother in law puked her guts out and miscarried her third pregnancy.

The doctor was just saying that to make you feel better. Rising and falling hormone levels can both make you feel sick. Symptoms or lack of symptoms really don’t mean much. I’ve been pregnant 3 times with pregnancy symptoms each time and only 1 viable pregnancy.
