Cook Balloon??

Nikkole💋 • Mother to one angel baby 💙 👼🏻 And one beautiful rainbow baby 💙 happily married to my best friend ❤️❤️

Has anyone had the Cook Balloon? I have been at the hospital since 8am. Due to some medical concerns for me and my baby boy, my OB wanted to induce me. My due Date is Thursday. I have been 1cm dilated and slightly effaced since 37 weeks. They started me on Cytotec at 9am. I am on my final dose…they will check my cervix in 40 mins. If there is no change, or not enough of a change, they plan to insert a cook balloon. I have to stay in the hospital for me and baby to be monitored. The OB said it can take 12 hours for the Balloon to get me to 4cm. Then it can easily take another 4-8 hours before I’ll be in active labor. I’m just feeling so defeated. I’m already so uncomfortable..being hooked up to the monitor has made it hard to even get out of bed. I want to use the birthing ball, but it always makes the babies heart monitor stop working. I can’t walk the halls because of the monitor. With the Balloon I will be even more confined to this uncomfortable bed.

Has anyone else had the Cook Balloon? If love to hear about your experience.
