Diaper Rash Help

Question

My baby has a really bad diaper rash and I don’t know what to try. His skin is starting to open up and is really red. I use Nystatin, desitin on his butt. I make sure to dry him really well and let him be with out a diaper in between changes for 5/10 mins. Any suggestions?

Organic coconut oil as long as there isn’t a nut allergy. 
My son had chemical burns & severe rashes from the scents in disposable diapers and it was the only thing that would clear it up.

I swear by A &D with my kids. Learned about it when my son had diaper rash. Gives a great barrier while allowing them to heal. With my daughter, I used it right away, puttting it on even when there isnt a rash.  She is 2 yrs old and still hasn’t had a diaper rash that broke skin.

My son didn’t get too many but this stuff helped so much so fast! Also I heard you shouldn’t use wipes and use just a wet wash cloth my sons never got that bad except for when he was allergic to the diaper Huggies.

These diapers are wonderful and I’ve literally never had to deal with a rash after I switched to them. They are not good for newborn because they run large, but once you are in size 1 and up they should work well. We also use water wipes and my favorite preventative cream is the Angel Baby bottom balm. For bad rashes I like Boudreauxs butt paste max strength.

Ate you using the purple desitin or the blue? The purple one is maximum strength and it has always cleared up my childrens' rashes!!

My son always got diaper rashes so easily. We tried lots of different creams and methods to help. Bag balm was the only thing that helped them heal and keep them away! I noticed a drastic difference in the frequency of him getting rashes when we started using this.

I know it sound odd but if you burn some flour make sure it is like a tan color and sprinkle it on the bun or wherever needed within the first diaper change it will look so much better. My daughter can't use any diaper creams so this has saved my life.

Corn starch. Will clear it up between 1 and 3 days depending on how bad it is. Apply every diaper change. And make sure you check babies diaper every 30 mins. Want to keep them dry. Hope that helps🌸

My kids did better with butt paste brand. But ultimately, the cause of one of my son's diaper rash was....the diaper. Once I moved up a size, I don't know if their formula changes once you get past a certain size, but I switched brands after he used that one for months and it improved.
