How to stop my overweight cat from eating everything?!

One of my cats (we have 2) is super overweight and will constantly beg for food and try to eat/lick everything!! She’s been this way since she got spayed back in 2019. It’s gotten progressively worse since our son was born (July 2020).

She will literally sit by her food dish all day and meow and claw at us whenever we walk by. When it’s time for them to eat she’s basically a vacuum, she just scarfs down her food so dang fast and then she hovers over our other cat until she walks away so she can finish her food too😳 when we eat, she will beg from us and then jump on the table to try and eat off our plates! 🤮 then if there are dishes in the sink she will jump on the counter and proceed to lick the dishes when we’re not looking. She will also eat plastic bags when she’s “hungry” for example last night I was prepping dinner for us and our son and I had a bag of trash by the door that needed to get taken out and she ate through the bag to get to the food in it. 🤢

I’m at my wits end! She’s seen the vet and they said there’s nothing wrong with her. We’ve tried to include her and play with her more but she’s never interested. We’ve tried a spray bottle with water every time she gets on the counter or eats plastic. It only works a fraction of the time. We’ve also spaced out their feedings, they get fed about 1/8 cup of dry food 4 times a day. We’ve also changed their food to a high protein food but it doesn’t seem to matter. They do not get any treats.

I love our cats but since having our son I’m ashamed to admit I wish we never got them. I mean they were there for us when going through 3 years of infertility. They were and still are our fur babies. I’m just so fed up with the way they’re constantly misbehaving. We have a lot on our plate especially with raising our son and the cats are just sooooo extra. I feel bad for even posting this but I just don’t know what to do! Advice/tips appreciated.
