Newborn won’t sleep in bassinet - only wants to be held

FTM, baby boy is 1 week old today and he’s been great. Only issue is he hates the bassinet. All day he naps either on me or does supervised sleep in his snuggleme. But at night he wants to sleep on my chest, do skin to skin. Not enjoying the swaddle or bassinet. Any tips to help him enjoy the bassinet? Hubs and I have been trading off all night to make sure he’s supervised etc but it would be nice to get our 2-3 hours of sleep at the same time. And he goes back to work next week and will be unable to help as much.
