anyone had a hymenal tag post birth??

went for a pap smear and mentioned to my midwife that towards the back of my vagina there’s a piece of skin that’s coming from inside and hanging out a little bit, no pain or anything but i never had it before so it makes me a little self conscious now. she checked it and said it was my hymen and i pushed it out during labor and it healed incorrectly? i’m pretty sure that’s what she said it was. i know it’s called a hymenal tag though. she said to have it removed, i would need to have surgery and either be given another epidural or be put under. anyone else had/have this? did you get it removed?
