Opinions on dental insurance for toddler

I need opinions. My 18-month old went to her first dentist appointment yesterday and I’d like her to keep going to this pediatric dentist because they’re excellent and close by but don’t take our current dental insurance.

I’m looking at an Aetna PPO plan for $29/mo. This includes 2 cleanings/exams a year, 60% off basic services like fillings and extractions, and 50% off more advanced services like surgery.

This is about $360/yr. One cleaning/exam out of pocket at this dental office is almost this much. About $330.

Does this sound fair? It’s only for her, no one else in the family needs dental insurance.
