IUI or No IUI?

Hi! We just had one failed IUI with gonal stims. We are now going to try clomid but I am wondering if the IUI is really worth it? Has anyone done done clomid without an IUI and been successful? How many try’s? I have low reserve and husband has low morphology.

I had low ovarian reserve and did 2 IUIs and both failed. Truthfully I wish I hadn’t done the second one and just started IVF. For us with low ovarian reserve it’s a bit more tricky and the odds of getting a positive with just IUI is low. Good luck ❤️

It might be worth another try! We had 3 iuis and 1 TI fail with good reserve but poor morphology. I kinda wish I would have just skipped the iuis and gone straight to ivf but that’s easy to say now that I know none were successful. I’ve seen a really mixed response on here, some people get their bfp with low morphology while others have to go for ivf 🤷‍♀️. Wishing you luck in whatever you choose!!

I just had my 3rd iui done on the 3rd I’m currently in my TWW , the more you do it the higher the chance .

I think it really depends on the situation. For use there is no clear answer why we can't get pregnant. Our first IUI in March we got pregnant. Sadly ended in miscarriage last month. So I really think it depends on the situation. We are going to start again when I have my first AF after my miscarriage, so hopefully that will be in 2 weeks 😊

How low is the morph, and what was your post-wash total motile count after the first IUI? We needed IVF, after having 2 failed IUIs. Only diagnosis was very low morphology (which resulted in very low post-wash TMCs of ~1-3million). Sort of wish we would have just gone straight to IVF; in retrospect our chances of success with IUI were quite low.
