Spicing up sex?

How do I tell my newish boyfriend that I like to be a little crazy In the bedroom? I’m the shy and quiet type so I’m not sure that he would expect it and I don’t really know how to tell him. I would like him to be in control and get a little aggressive and be dominant. But he is very caring and I think he is afraid that he might hurt me. How do I bring this up?

Also he stopped asking or being the one to initiate sex because he said he feels bad for asking... should I take this as a red flag? I want to be close to him but I feel like he doesn’t want me or I’m not good enough and he is just saying he feels bad as an excuse. Am I overthinking?
