Would you be upset about this?

For context, my boyfriend and I are 22 and have been together for close to 7 years.

My boyfriend constantly talks bad about my mom. I have asked him to stop because I love her and it hurts my feelings. He will apologize, say he’s going to stop and then do it again. I’ve had it, I respect that he doesn’t like her, but I do not want to hear about it. It makes me feel like he’s making me choose between her and him and makes me feel ashamed of where I came from. Would you be upset about this?
