Every time my girl gets sick she gets a cough. She had a lung infection when she was first born and then got RSV at 3 months old, so I feel like that makes her more susceptible to coughs. She had a stomach virus once, which didn’t really seem to faze her and she just acted a little less energetic for a day. 
However, 18 months was a transitional time for us. It was like a switch went off and she started crying a lot more than before. Maybe your little one is going through the same phase? We dealt with a month of random crying and tantrums, but she has gotten much better now. Hang in there! 💗

It’s hard to tell sometimes.  I think my son isn’t feeling well right now but he’s still playing normally.  He keeps grabbing his sinus area and saying “ow” though and I’ve had a bad headache and sore throat.  He’s also sleeping poorly too though
