LH Surge Before Period

Hi! I have PCOS and very short, but regular, cycles (about 17 days). This was my first cycle on Clomid. My LH tests had me ovulating on CD 8 which is about what my Dr and I expected, but now on day 14 I got the darkest line ever! Is it normal to surge a few days before your period or could I be pregnant? Or could my cycles be elongated by clomid?
