36 week appt on Monday

I’ll be 36w exactly on this next Monday. Thinking about denying any cervix checks until 38 or 39w.

I had preterm labor at 28w 6d and was 1 cm dilated back then. I really don’t see a check being necessary..?? Even if I’m more dilated it doesn’t mean anything if it’s not baby time yet. I was checked several times in the hosptial and was told by dr that constant cervix checking can irritate my already irritable uterus and potentially progress into labor.

I just think they are unnecessary early on for regular check ups. It only stresses the mom and can result in an induction because you aren’t dilated by a certain time frame
