Note: Long Post Sorry - Late post but he's finally here

I know thos is almost 2 weeks later but here's my birthing story.

Baby boy born in South Africa on 9th May 2021 at 9.15pm. Woke up in the morning to hubby & my 3 year old wishing me a happy mother's day, had no signs that I would be going into labor later that day. Went down to my mom's house for the day.

At around 1pm I started having a dull pain in my back & have had this in the last trimester so brushed it off as just another ache of pregnancy. Left my mom's at around 6pm to head back home & to my horror hubby wasn't there when I arrived at 6.30pm. The pains started becoming extremely intense at around 8pm, hubby had arrived at around 7.30pm to a mouthful as I was already 39w 3d & baby could arrive at anytime. At 8PM I got into a hot shower & then realised it's happening this baby is coming. Told hubby you get in the shower & get out 3 year old. Contractions were now coming back to back in my lower back as well as my abdomen. Dropped our 3year old off at my mom & my dad drove us through to the hospital.

We arrived at the hospital at 9pm & 15 minutes & 5 pushes later our baby boy was born, best mother's day gift I've ever received. I never timed my contractions at all & just listened to my gut. My obgyn missed my delivery by 5 minutes & so did hubby.

Ryland Stone Lexus Margetis was born on 9th May 2021 at 9.15pm, weighing 3.4kgs.
