I’m 36 weeks as well and I’m curious what does that do? Does it start labor or just prepares you? I have heard it a lot and I would like to try it too depending what it does.

Bouncing on the ball is fine. It just helps to open up your pelvis and coax baby to engage. It won’t cause labor
