hydrocephalus????

Question

I went today for my sons 4 month physical and for his vaccinations. Everything came out fine except the doctor feels his head is a little a the bigger side for his age. So he scheduled a ultra sound for his brain to make sure everything is fine. Anyone experience this before? What happened? I’m a nervous wreck right now.

No help with hydrocephalus but my Jan babe has craniosynostosis. So a plate fused in her head before birth. She will have her skull reconstructed at some point this year 😩 so again no help but I understand the stress with your babies head 😩 doctors are amazing and it might still be nothing! I know it's hard but try not to stress!

Update... doctor called and said he does have a little fluid there more than what hes use to seeing for his age but doesn’t think it’s anything serious. Just be on the safe side he referred him to a neurosurgeon just be on the safe side and make sure it’s safe and he’s fine.

What was his head circumference percentile?

My cousins baby’s head is in the 99th percentile but they don’t have any concerns. Did your son show any signs or anything that made them want to do a scan??
