How my boyfriend reacted to his 18 year old son crying

I've been dating this guy a couple months. I know he has an 18 year old and I've only met him on a few occasions because he stays listening to music in his room. When we were driving to his house he said his son had texted him about something happening at school. When we got there his son was in his room and I could hear him crying. My boyfriend went in there and I kind of peaked to see if he was ok. His son was laying on the bed crying and my boyfriend said "What did I tell you about crying?" His son says "Cry standing up..." My boyfriend goes "Cry standing up, don't cry laying down. That's admitting defeat." He pulled his kid up and said "Now give me a hug". The fact that he hugged him and let him cry into his arms made me so much more attracted to him!
