Red dots after choking

So, my boyfriend and I are very into choking during sex. And I’m totally used to getting a few red dots underneath my eyes afterwards, almost like I had been crying really hard.

To preface: I just want to say that we live together, have been together for years, and everything was totally consensual.

Last night we were both fairly drunk and decided to try choking for longer.... in a chokehold. It was fun, no big deal. Until I went to the bathroom and had the red dots ALL OVER MY FACE.

So basically, my questions is has anyone else dealt with this? Is there anything I can do to make them go away faster?
