Bf is obsessed with chow chows. Their temperament sounds awful tho

This man sends me chow chow videos on Instagram and he knows I think fuzzy dogs are messy. He wants to get a puppy but he works 40 hours delivering packages and he’s going to live with his parents for about 3 months. The dog would likely come to my (moms) house every Thursday with my bf cause that’s when we hangout. My childhood dog is 13 but she loves my bf and puppies. I’m nervous he doesn’t understand the commitment of a dog. I think this would be his first one, at 25. If anyone knows about chow chows please tell me your experience! I’d like to have him check for rescues first 👏
