Getting progesterone prescribed in UK
Who prescribes you the progesterone suppositories other than your private RE in UK? I have a short lutheal phase of 10 days rarely 11. My RE prescribes me progesterone for my IVF ICSI cycles but when I am trying normally I have no way to obtain it. It is the only thing that makes my lutheal phase 13 days. My GP dismissed my worries but referred me to Reccurant miscaridge clinic after 3 loses. I thought they can assist and gynacologyst assured me that I need to call her nurses and I can get prescription for my thyroid medication progesterone and folic acid 5 mg. I called the nurses. The nurse was super rude and said they are not renewing nothing and it GP responsibility or my private RE. I am under the care of my RE only up to first scan and my GP is clueless. She does not even know that I am on levothytoxine and why. I seem to not be able to keep pregnancy or get pregnant without both medication so I do not know what to do. NHS are being so dismissive and I cannot be under constant private care due to how expensive it is. Please advise. The fertility nurses drove me to tears with their rudeness and I am being dismissed despite 3 losses I only achieved with IVF ICSI.
