pulmonary embolism after delivery

Hi everyone, I’m not sure what groups to put this is in. But I mostly just need to vent and express how upset I am over this. I gave birth the 16th and ever since I’ve had racing heart, shortness of breath, random chest pains etc.. I went to the ER yesterday and was told I have a small blood clot in my lungs. They started my treatment and the internal medicine specialist told me I’ll be okay if I follow their guidelines and follow up with my OB afterwards.

I am just so scared now though. I can’t eat or sleep because I am scared I will die. I’m waiting to hear if my OB will see me for this. I don’t feel like I can function normally anymore. I cried all day yesterday and today I feel I will be the same way.. have any of you been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism after birth? What was the outcome? Did your OB Continue your care? Any words of encouragement would be great right now.
