Era or scratch what’s the difference ?

Forgive me if I’m stupid, but are the ERA and scratch the same thing or different? Trying to understand every option available to me in my situation

Answer

They are not the same. An ERA has to be done at the same time and under the same conditions as a frozen embryo transfer. Instead of doing a transfer, they take a sample of your lining and test the genetics if it to see if youre lining would be receptive at that time. If it isn't, then your dr will adjust how many days of PIO you'll get before actual transfer. So its a diagnostic procedure. 
A scratch is purposely wounding part of the uterine lining in hopes of improving transfer success. So its a sort of treatment. I didnt know what this was without looking it up but it seems its not recommended anymore in standard practice
