I'm in the US. I think I have a passport, but it's out of date and I haven't used it since I was a little kid. I'm 22 now and my husband and I are looking to travel overseas next year. How do I get a new passport? Do I need my old one?

They usually do two passport photos you can get anywhere or have it taken there are sometimes they charge you like $15, and you need your birth certificate , If you have the old expired passport, you can take that as well, and then you need to bring a checkbook or money order, they usually have two fees, one for the place that processes it, and then one for the actual application, if you want it faster they also have an expedited fee. And you have to write everything out, so if you live on N. Front St. you have to can’t just write and or a no or ST actually have to print everything out and noRTH Front and then STREeT.
