What to expect with a returning period after a MC

Can anyone give insight on what to expect with the first couple of periods after a MC & how long until your cycles returned/regulated?

When I had mine I had to have a d&c done so I bleed for 4 days after surgery very heavy and lots of clots. That was March 19 didn't get a period until June 15 and bleed for a little over a month first couple of days very painful and heavy followed by very light spotting. Had another on Sept 1. 3 days long so I think I'm finally back on track...

Hi Hun, Sorry about your loss. I've had 2 MC's this year. My first MC was on June 9th and I bled until June 18th and I got my first period on July 15th. After that period I found out I was pregnant on August 8th but unfortunately lost that pregnant on August 14th and my period returned September 13th.

​I saw some little but few blood clots,, bleeding was much darker than my normal periods were before I got pregnant both times.

​I have fibroids also but I get heavy periods and pains because of that. 
​
​Don't worry you'll be fine. It's not easy getting over it and to be honest I'm not over mine and seeing pregnant women everywhere I look doesn't help either.

I got my period pretty much on time after my hcg levels went down to zero, however I did spot for about a week before AF truly started which had never happened to me before. First period was normal flow wise, but second one was heavy and terrible cramps. Both were on time though, about a 26 day cycle.
