friends , fwb or WTF ?? 🥲

okay, so I meet this guy of tinder and well right off the bat we clicked and ever since we have been texting, seeing each other and talking otp. well I messed up because I fucked with him the second time after meeting him. however, he usually doesn't make the first move when it comes to sex like we can hang out and not have to have sex. BUT here's the thing... I'm starting to catch feelings for him and I hit him with the "what are we" question and he said "friends and friends w/benefits ig" BUT what I don't get is that he's always making the first move like I'm not a hugger or trying to be cuddle up against someone who isn't my man. But when we are together at his house or in public with his friends he's always trying to hold my hand or stuff like that. Like he gives off the vibe as if we're together. I'm not sure if he really just wants to be friends/fwb or if his just not ready to make a move?? What do yall think ? I'm not sure if I should just start to back away from him .
