I’m so confused. We have broken up before almost a year and a half ago because he was a dumb boy who wanted to be single. This time he says it’s different because he knows he wants me but he thinks we have to break up now and take time to ourselves to grow and get established in order to have a future together. He told me after I asked that he thought I was the love of his life and he still hoped to marry me. I’m just not sure how to handle this. To an extent I think he was right but I still wish we could grow together. I think he’s very depressed and he believes he needs to be on his own to start making his life work. Any advice?
