Will you get your membranes stripped?

I’m getting my membranes swept/stripped this up coming Wednesday at my 39 week doctor appointment. This is my second baby, I’m really hoping it leads to labor... anyone have any experience with membrane strippin’!?

I read about how it’s really a 50/50 chance to get labor goin, but the ones that did get going- it seems baby got here with in hours to a day!!!

With my first I had them stripped at 41weeks and one dose of nightmare pitocin and my daughter was in my arms within 4hrs!!

Thoughts!? Hopes!?

⚠️Update: today’s Wednesday and I’m at 39 weeks. I just got out of my doctor appointment 50% effaced and 3cm dilated! So we did do a membrane strip and it was not at horrific as it was with my first kiddo. So much so I was like “wanna do one more sweep for the road!? That wasn’t that bad.” She laughed and declined 😆 she also agreed there was a 50/50 chance. But I instantly felt a bit crampy and still do. Gonna let gravity, hip rocking, walking, spicy food and maybe some sex help me out every day. 🤞🏽 come on, baby!

⚠️2nd update! Wiped a mucus plug this evening! Friday at 10pm. Two days after the membrane stripping.
