My daughter will be 3 in August, and sometimes she asks “where’s dad?” 💔. I don’t know what I’m going to tell her as she gets older.

Her dad only visited her 3 times, the last time was in January 2019. He doesn’t want to be part of her life, even though he has two kids already. Which he lives with (he got back with his first baby momma). He sends $250/mo electronically, but that’s it. Never asks how she is or for pictures.

It’s so sad, how do I tell her “your dad is choosing not to be your dad, even though he’s a dad to your two other brothers”??

I don’t want her to feel like she doesn’t have any value. Nor do I want to lie to her. What would you guys do or say? Please help.
