Which side of the car do install the carseat and why?

Behind the driver seat is convenient for putting the child in the car without having to walk around to drive. But then behind the passenger seat means the driver can check on the baby in the rear view mirror easier while driving.

We did middle for safety and used a mirror to see baby. Now that we have two little is behind the passenger and oldest is behind the driver seat

Newborn I do passenger side because you can look back at them and reach them more easily. 
Once they turn around I do behind drivers side because of accident risks. If you are turning right most of the time, the impact is a lot less intense than being hit turning left.

Our cars doesn't allow middle seat installation (be sure to read both the car manual and the car seat manual!) 
Now we have our oldest behind the driver, and  youngest on the other side. It's what works best for their seats.

Some say driver because you’re likely to correct it as you would to save yourself instinctively. Some say passenger because of kid being away from oncoming traffic. Some say middle because it’s away from airbag. Some say with mirror to see baby. I personally say without mirror because that’s a projectile in an accident. Bottom line? I have no idea what the actual rule of thumb is and apparently most others don’t either but most will say their way is right. You car has a manual that can help determine this for your particular vehicle but as I’m sure you can tell no matter how you did it someone will say it’s wrong...

They’re supposed to be in the passenger seat because they are sitting farthest away from oncoming traffic. It’s not about convenience 🙄

It depends. I suggest readding the car and car seat manuals. In some areas you can make an apt with the fire departmen/police department/ or hospital for a car seat check by a pro; to insure that it is in the car correctly. 
We have an older model honda crv with side air bags and the middle is wat was best for our infant seat.

I’ll have two in car seats soon so the new baby will be behind passenger side and the older one behind the driver side.

I believe middle seat is safest if your car allows. That’s what we’ve done for newborn. It’s a little more difficult to get in and out but not bad.

If you can do middle, that’s the safest. I bought a mirror to be able to see LO. Once they turned around I put them behind one of the seats!
