How do I know if I have hyperemesis??

I'm 14 weeks today and I have lost 10 lbs so far. I don't vomit every single day, but on days that I do I can't stop vomiting. Every single day whether I vomit or not I'm nauseated the entire day and nothing helps. I'm having a hard time eating much at all. Is this HG?? I read that if you are loosing a significant amount of weight that it is considered severe, but I'm no expert. 2nd pregnancy and I lost 20 lbs with my 1st.

I lost 40 pounds with my son for throwing up everyday. Couldnt hold anything down. Literally. I went to the hospital and I was admitted because it was my gallbladder.

I was told I had to lose 10% of my body weight and throw up a minimum of 5 times a day to call it HG.  I did 😬 with 3 pregnancies

Sounds like HG. I think if you lose 5% of your body weight, trouble keeping anything, including sips of water down, and throwing up 3 or more times a day “qualifies” as HG.
