Slow rising beta or ectopic...

I had my first beta on Friday 8dp5dt and it was 97. My RE was very excited, said it was a great number for day 8. I didn’t go in over the holiday weekend. Went today 12dp5dt and it was 254. The nurse called and said I should be watching out for signs of an ectopic pregnancy because the beta didn’t rise as it should- they were expecting it to be closer to 400. She also quickly mentioned that it could just be slow rising. I have another beta on Thursday. Anyone else have similar numbers? What was the end result?
