Any non-medicated IUI success stories in your 30s?

I’m going in for my first IUI tomorrow after over a year of trying. My doctor said it’s about a 30% success rate, which seems low. Has anyone found success with IUI in their 30s?

I agree 30% sounds a lot higher than what I was told. I’m 34, did a medicated cycle and am 5 weeks 3 days pregnant from my first iui. We went straight for medicated cycles with insemination after 2 years of trying to get pregnant and 4 chemical pregnancies. I didn’t want to mess around and waste anymore time or money. I believe I was told 10-15% iui success rate.

I think your doctor is blowing smoke. Haha I am in my young 30s, I’m doing medicated IUI and they said 15-18%; one resident said 20%. 30% sounds like a hell of a promise.

It really depends on what your diagnosis is. For someone with no fertility issues IUI will give them about a 20-30% chance. But if you have fertility concerns that percentage will drop. I had unexplained infertility and I believe the success stats for unmedicated IUI for my diagnosis are grim- only 8-10% or so. I still tried it just to cross it off the list and unfortunately for me it didn't work.
