Toddler keeps being mistaken for wrong gender

What do you do when this happens. It upsets me. Today at the park someone commented that ‘he looks like he’s enjoying himself’ about my daughter. She loves wearing yellow and her hair is still short. But she had butterfly sandals on and pink reins so is quite clearly a girl! It’s not the first time this has happened. Why do people think if they’re not fully in pink then they’re a boy 🙄
