What do you wear to a wedding dinner rehearsal?

I have a wedding dinner rehearsal in a few weeks. What is appropriate clothing attire for this? I'm going with my boyfriend has his guest he is actually in the wedding but can bring a guest. Is this normally dressy attire? Or cute casual clothing? I don't want to be overly dressed.
I don't have flowery dresses, but what about flowery romper?
It's at a restaurant, I don't have extra money to spend right now, so here is what I have at home, flowery romper with some tan block strappy heels. Or a black romper with some black or leopard block strappy heels?

They are usually cocktail dress level attire, or a step below what the wedding attire is. Your flowery romper sounds fine.

Romper should be fine. Think if you were attending someone’s graduation.

What's the venue? If it's a backyard BBQ or hosted at someone's house I'd wear a more casual summer dress.  If it's at a restaurant or country club I'd still wear a dress but a party dress.  
If you'd wear it to a club or wear it to do yard work in then it's not appropriate.

I would wear like a cute summery dress or dress pants and a nice blouse. More like a business casual type of dress. Have fun!
