Mute feature

Hey admins, I made a post about this before and got ignored. I'm sure you have received an influx of emails regarding this so you must know what I'm talking about. Hence the post in CC an admin deleted where users expressed they were frustrated. But the mute feature needs to be adjusted. It's just not working well for those who use the community appropriately and seems to favor those who want to target other users. Would appreciate if an admin commented on this or at least let the community know they are working on fixing it? Can we get at least something?
