I’m EBF but wanting to pump occasionally
I’ve read somewhere that if we start pumping, then we always have to continue pumping. Is that true?
My friend also told me I can do it here and there when I want too and don’t have to do it all the time.
I’m a bit nervous about going out to places (I’m a FTM with a 5 week old boy) and breastfeeding, I am only confident in doing the football hold position to feed so I wouldn’t be able to do that out and about.
So would I be able to pump and make up a few bottles from it and then stop until the next time I want to make up bottles?
If so, how would I go about it? I read to do it after an hour of the first feed in the morning. Can I just double pump and be over and done with?
I’ve read up info online but I’m still quite confused 🤷🏻♀️
How much per bottle is a standard feed for Bub? He feeds for about half hour or more on both breasts.
So would this example be what the day would look like?
7AM- Feed baby
8AM (or 8:30AM after hes done?)- pump
11AM- Feed baby
Then continue like normal?
Sorry for all the questions 😅
