Weight loss at the end of pregnancy?

I just left my 38 week appt, baby is still pretty high up and I’m not really dilated but I lost 1.5 lbs since my appt last Tuesday  (which surprised me since I’ve been eating Ice cream every day hahah). The nurse made it seem like that meant something was happening or was going to happen but my doctor was not really concerned about it all. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I always start to lose and maintain right before labor would happen! Sadly it could still mean weeks :(

They say you lose a little prior to labor. I mean, eventually you have to have the baby, right? So you're certainly closer than you were before! 🤪

Totally normal to level out or even lose some in the last month or so

I’m 36 weeks and I haven’t gained anything in 6 weeks. This morning at my appointment I’m actually down by 1/2 a pound. My ob wasn’t concerned at all

I had lost a little bit at my 37 week appointment and I’ve continued to maintain there. Hopefully it means things are happening!
