Statistically, yes, being induced increases your chances of needing a c section. HOWEVER, if you do want to be induced studies show that doing so at 39 weeks instead of waiting until after your due date reduces that risk pretty significantly. This is now becoming pretty standard practice.

I’m not sure of the statistics. However from my personal experience, if you’re “favourable” for an induction, no. Favourable meaning you’ve already begun to dilate and thin out. I went into my induction with my twins at 4cm dilated and fully effaced. My induction lasted about 6 hours and both twins were born vaginally with zero complications.

Theres is a higher risk of it yes. My mum had 5 inductions no csection. I had an I duction my last pregnancy, went in and was not favourable at all, wasnt even a cm dilated, started pitocin, 2 hours later was 4cm, 20 minutes later she was born, 🤷♀️

Mine did. Around 20 hour labor and his heart rate kept dropping. I was a a full 10 and he wouldn’t make his way into the canal and his heart rate was dropping with each contraction. I was induced at 37 weeks due to medical reasons

My induction did for sure. They induced me because they thought the liquid in the sack was too low, but my cervix refuse to dilate no matter what they did. The contraction got really horrible but still my body refused to proceed. And then the babies vitals dropped dangerously low so they rush me off to perform an emergency C-section
