My name is seirra I used to work at a family abuse shelter and I had a client who had a dog locked in her car for 12 hours(8a-8p) with no food no water no potty breaks no nothing( untill 6:10pm when she told me about the dog and feed him 1!!! sloppy Joe small bit of water as shown)

and no dogs are allowed on the premises so we dismissed her for an hour or two so she could go figure out what to do with the dog she came back high and told another client she smoked weed in front of her four kids and dog On Top of the dog having no food no water I talked her into letting me take him home to babysit for a while until she has a place of her own I had the dog for approximately one and a half weeks and she asked for for the dog back and has no place to stay or keep a dog so it would go right back into her car just no money to buy food for the dog or anything for the dog let alone feed her own kids and herself the days of dog was left in the car it was 75 degrees outside and inside of a car with no water it was almost 125 degrees when I brought the dog home he was infested with fleas and lice all five people had lice his nails were not Cliped and I couldn't tell you how long he didn't have a bath and I couldn't tell you how long and his hair was matted and his nails were so outgrown they were curling sideways I spent days showering him over and over treating him with treatments for lice and fleas not including I had to for my cat as well because they are cuddle buddies... spent two days, four hours a piece brushing unmating his hair. She did not have him taged (that is a crime same as living your dog in a locked hot car in ) talk to the police and they told me I have every right to keep the dog until she takes me to Court and we have court in a 2 weeks the dog is now fully healthy and tags in my name and has a loving home with lots of space to run around and play with other dogs and a cat I get that she might love the dog but she's not able to provide for a dog I feel bad but at the same time I feel like I rescued him because she was abusing him by locking him in a hot car with no food no water on a 75 plus degree day and not grooming him or taking him to the vet he also has three cavities that have not been addressed from her am I a piece of crap for keeping the dog?
