TMI PERIOD BLOOD (BLACK)

My periods have been all over the place for the past year, resulted in me bleeding for 8 months straight without stopping. So they’re irregular, I’m on day 8 of bleeding, I have lower back pain now and tummy pain with black blood, I’ve been told to wear pads but I don’t have any, sometimes my periods stop (well turn into spotting) then goes really heavy again... anyone have any advice on what the dark black gooey blood could be? I know sometimes it can mean old blood, but I’m on day 8 so why would I have black goo like blood now? I have been told I have a 1inch ovarian cyst but not got a date for a follow up ultrasound, my haemoglobin levels are all over, I’m also waiting on a date for a laparoscopy too see if I have endemetriosis or cervical adhesions. Someone please help me.
