For the last week or so, my sons stool has been pretty consistently green and filled with mucus. I’ve talked to my midwife and she didn’t seem to be too concerned. But today I changed his diaper and noticed a couple red strands of mucus... unfortunately my care with my midwife has come to an end and because it’s the weekend, I’m not able to contact my family doctor. Does this seem like an emergency that I should be taking him to the ER for or should I wait until I can make an appointment with our doctor tomorrow?

I should also note that he hasn’t had a fever and is still eating well and acting normal. He has fussy moments and gets gassy in between feedings but I haven’t noticed any other red flags other than the mucus and red strands in his stool.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
