Relatching a 2 week old??

I was planning on breastfeeding my baby, but at the hospital right after I gave birth, she wouldn’t latch and the nurses had to express my colostrum and give it to her in a syringe . After that I tried again and again and wasn’t successful to latch her on to me. The nurses and lactation consultants all tried to help. In the end, baby would become hysterical and I was so stressed out and exhausted I just gave in and fed her a bottle. I began pumping and for the past two and a half weeks I’ve been exclusively pumping and bottle feeding and trying here and there to breastfeed, but not succeeding. 
Today, I decided I really really want to try latching again. I did some research on YouTube and baby websites and I have plenty of tips ready to use- but I wanted to know if anyone who was in a similar situation was successful in the end?? I really want to succeed .

I tried to breastfeed immediately at the hospital. It worked but I had nothhhing coming out. The night we got home she cried and cried and I heard her belly gurgling so we used formula.
I kept pumping and bottle feeding her breastmilk until 3 weeks old and I decided to give latching a try again.
I had her latch right after I pumped so my nipples were ready to go.
She managed to latch on!
It was a lot of pain and practice for the next few weeks but we got the hang of it!
She’s now almost 6 months and we breastfeed and bottle feed everyday!

I had a similar experience and successfully relatched at almost two weeks old with the help of a lactation consultant and a nipple shield.

My baby wasn’t able to latch at first because he was premature.  It was A LOT of work and frustration to get him latched but we were able to.  You could start with shields and then wean off those if need be but I didn’t want to throw that extra step in, personally.  
Has baby been checked by someone qualified for a tongue and/or lip tie?  That was definitely impeding progress for us and one of the most common reasons for newborn latch refusal.  
Also try different positions.  Because my son was born with an arm over his head, he had tightness in one of his shoulders that made the traditional cradle hold difficult for him.  I did the koala hold until we saw a chiropractor and started PT to loosen up the shoulder.  Sometimes there can be neck or shoulder issues without you even realizing so it might be something worth getting checked.
