What do I need to buy

Question

I’m not sure what I need to buy for my hospital bag and what I need for my diaper bag. Can anyone help with what I’d need? I am doing a c section.

For my hospital bag I only bought diapers (the always brand) & travel size toiletries. I took my hair brush, a change of clothes to leave the hospital, slippers, my contacts/glasses, charging cable & a blanket but I had a vaginal delivery.

I had an emergency c section and honestly the only things I really used from my hospital bag were clothes to go home in, toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, etc) and my phone charger. I stayed in my hospital gown the whole time because I just thought it was easier after the c section. The hospital will have diapers and wipes but you can bring some if you’d like. I would 100% recommend an abdominal binder/brace if you are having a c section. I would not have survived without it. I used the one the hospital provided but I know you can buy them online.

All the above is great. Just to add to it, if you want to be comfortable, I’d suggest a robe & a pillow or at least a pillow case from home. These things helped me feel more comfortable during our stay at the hospital. 
Don’t forget to ask what they’ll provide for you & baby as well. All hospitals are different so check to see that way you’re not bringing double of what they’ll be providing for you.

I basically used nothing that I packed except for my bathrobe. I also used my toiletries once I could get up and take a shower, brush teeth, etc. And I needed an outfit for me and for baby to go home in. That was really it for me.

Yes to charger, clothes, and toiletries. Also, bring a water bottle and snacks. I’m going to bring a ton of snacks because my hospital is on limited visitors and I don’t think they can go grab me anything while they’re there.
Oh, also breastfeeding pillow if your going to try to breastfeed.
