Setting Boundaries with my Mother

I am going through a lot right now.

My mother has done it again & drove a huge stake into our relationship. She is only pleasant to be around when you think just like her. If not, she is a real pain.

She has little boundaries but then expects people to brown nose her.

I can admit that I am not perfect, but I bet she would tell you that she is perfect..no cap.

I had to stay with her while our house was being worked on & moved. Last night after moving all of my stuff in my home, I came to her house & packed up absolutely everything I had there, took my kids, and left to go with my MIL. My mil can be a hot mess but she is so kind, easy to talk to, and humble.

I am so done with my toxic family though. It affects my mental health so bad to where I was so depressed & sad the entire time I was there.

It's very much a keep up with the joneses house. Facade where they think it's a good happy family but there are deep, dark secrets and a high level of toxicity in the house.

Am I wrong for wanting nothing to do with my mother? She is a master manipulator (if my grandma was alive she would agree..she paid for everything for me to leave when my mom wouldnt let me leave at 18!).

I think I have so much internal hurt & honestly trauma from that family that I don't think after what she did this time I can build a relationship with her again unless she begs for me to and apologizes..which she won't. She will just continue to trash my name to anyone who will listen and lie about me.

I can't even explain the situation because it makes me so mad. Just imagine the most out of the world situation that makes 0 sense.

Anyways, I guess partly I need to vent & some support.

I'm so tired of being hurt by my family.
